Consultive Magazine update 3 months in

Mike and I thought it was about time for an update on the goings on here at Consultive Magazine so this week instead of an article from one of our authors we are hijacking the site to fill you in on what’s been happening…

Firstly we’d like to say a massive thank you to all our readers and authors. Since launching the site in August we have been able to stick to our goal of publishing an article a week mainly thanks to the generosity of our contributing authors who have very graciously found the time and energy to write some great articles for us. Thank you.

We’d also like to thank you our readers. We’ve watched as the site has slowly but steadily gained a following and look forward to watching it grow even more over the coming months. Thank you for taking the time to visit the site, read the articles and for sharing them with your friends and colleagues.

Behind the scenes we’ve been busy planning how the site will develop over time. Today there are two new features that we’re adding;

A glossary of consulting terms

Firstly we’ve added a Glossary of consulting terms to the site. Consultants, like many other professionals, are guilty of inventing and using phrases and terminology that often mean little to anyone not already involved with the industry. In an effort to shed some more light on the world which we write about here at Consultive Magazine we thought it would be a good idea to explain some of these expressions. The glossary was born.

Currently there are a limited list of definitions in the glossary but over time we will be adding to it and we’d love for you our readers to help out with suggestions for what should appear in the list. If there are terms that perplex you or phrases that you use as a consultant but know confuse your clients let us know and we will add them to the list for the world to share. Either leave a comment on this article or contact us and we’ll find and share the definition with everyone.

Social bookmarking

Secondly we’ve added a small list of social bookmark options at the end of every article. Now if you’ve read an article and like it you can easily share it on delicious, facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, linkedIn or digg. For those of you who aren’t familiar with social networks, don’t worry the links are hidden away at the bottom of each article and shouldn’t effect your enjoyment of reading them. For those of you who are familiar with these networks, it is now even easier to share our articles with your friends and networks so you have no excuses for not continuing to do so!

Future plans

We have some very exciting authors lined up to contribute to the site over the coming months and continue to put efforts into expanding our author list. If you, or anyone you know, would like to write an article or a series of articles for us and share your insights with your peers and friends please let us know.

We have recently grown our linkedin readers group and have a permanent open invitation to all of you to join it too. Use the group to find other people interested in the consulting industry, see job openings and to talk to us directly.

You can also follow us on twitter (@consultiveMag) where we share news and updates about the world of consulting and consulting jobs.

Finally

Finally we’d like to say thank you one more time. For reading. For visiting. For getting in touch and giving us your feedback. Thank you. If there’s anything you’d like to see more of, less of, or just done differently here on the site or on any of our related feeds or groups please to get in touch and let us know.

Here’s to the next three months of Consultive Magazine.
